Listen to and respect yourself first.
Then, communicate in no uncertain terms what your expectations are regarding their behavior and attitude toward you.
If that doesn't work, try a big piece of wood.

How do you get a man /spouse/bf/ to listen to you and respect you ? Dump him if he doesn't...and mean it. If he doesn't want to lose you, he will listen and respect you in order to try and get you back.

You don't. If they weren't raised to be considerate and respectful, it's not something that they can just "learn" as an adult.
All you can control is how YOU behave. Respect yourself, and clearly communicate how you expect them to treat you. If they can't meet your expectations, you need to smile, thank them for the memories, and get yourself back out fishing for a new partner.
