it would not be peaceful but probably more like one of those nature documentaries. You know only the strong survive preying on the weak and purposeless. A the sick and diseased, crippled, the whole gay and transtesticled community would be gone. We'd be back to the essentials of survival and procreation any one not contributing to that would be unneeded, and expendable, also no taxes and burdonsome regulation, no parking tickets and HOPFULLY NO LAWYERS! but I don't know about that one, there where probaly two lawyers on Noahs ark and id bet that we where hit by a planet killer comet lawyers would survive with the roaches.

Chaos! It would be awful. There would be no organized schools, churches or government offices. Food would be scare or impossible to get unless you went and hunted for it yourself. There would be wars over inches of land on one side of an imaginary border and lots of cold-blooded murders. People would live in nationality groups and there would be unwritten rules what someone could do. No government means no control and no money. Bartering would be the trade mechanism. Not good. One good thing about it there would be no taxes and no one making a decision on tax regs. There would be "organized protection grids". Things would be bad, but if that is how one grew up, they would know all the rules and be able to survive.

Probably like the way tribes live discovered in the dense jungles of the Amazon and in similar environments. At least the world would be totally free of all the Islamic extremists that exist today - hell bent on destroying life as we've come to know it - and ruling the world under their vile / evil doctrines!

very hard to say , i mean the people in control now are not for us and whats on the horizon is not good (another story), but to have no set of rules to guide and no police there would probably be total chaos that would subside but through the nature of man forms of dictatorship would crop up everywhere , the ruthless would rule and be in control again .
i am not religious but i get the feeling that man cannot rule itself because those that start out wanting to do the right thing often end up corrupted , if you live by a set of rules and worship a higher being ( properly, not what we have today highjacked christianity and islam ) only good can come of it !!!
money runs the world , money is power , power corupts and absolute power corupts absolutely .
the main point is government is suposed to be by the people and for the people , they are suposed to work for us .
anyways not sure i answered your question properly very complicated .

There will always be the governing factor. There is always someone who wants to take charge. Yet the Government of today is NOT in charge but structuring ways to keep our environment free of polution, water, food, etc. Laws are introduced to off set the tidal waves of the collective who want to create fear and chaos.
Oh boy what would it be like, the country would become dirty, so would people, and there would be no nhs. Until people come to their senses.

Id like to think it would be good without all these toffee nosed,do gooders, but in reality,it would probably be hell on earth.
Mind you most laws are broke every day by all the wrongons, and they get away with it,so i suppose there would be no change really.
The world and society we live in now is like hell anyway....

humans have this strange need for rules. so i think that if we got rid of the government we have people would ban together and create their own rules and regualtions for their own little communities. it could potentially be peaceful in some of these communities until another community needed something and instead of wanting to barter they would just try to come in and take it. i dont think that i would be too bad if you lived out in the middle of no where and developed a self sufficient community but if you lived in an area where there are lots of people then it would more than likely be chaos.

one government would work well. homogulation. everything in one place and readily to hand as it were. centralised services would reduce overheads and associated costs. it would be highly dependent on computers, and would only "Employ" a fraction of the people it currently employs....
no government would be anarchy, and a return to the rule of the biggest stick, or NGO's using hedgemony as a tool to get their own way, regardless of the cost to the user, in favour of generating profits for the shareholders

Hell I reckon everyone would run riot. We need law and order and the Government ensure that is enforced but even with law and order there is a lot of crime, imagine it without.
