You are giving up too much with Guillen and Hunter. Hardy will not put up the numbers that Guillen will have at season end and this is a down year for Rivera. Your pitching looks good to me the way it is now and I would not do the deal. Oswalt is sitting on an ERA of 3.55 and a WHIP of 1.38 at this time and the Astros are going nowhere. Should Oswalt come up with any small health issue, the Astros could shut him down for the year, and where would that leave you?

In most years this would be a pretty fair trade but the only snag I see is Rivera. rivera is having a down year and a part of it is because torre isn't really using him that much. The yankees, when they do mangae to win, are tending to win by enough the save situation isn't there, or torre is opting to go with somone else until they fall apart. But then again in a tied game in the 9th last night he watched proctor walk 3 batters including the winning run without even warming Mo up. that's pretty odd considering they just had an off day and lost 5 of their last 6 coming in. Rivera if you check him out is getting a lot of garbage time appearances just to get in work whre all he will do is help your era or whip. Point in case Wednesday night he comes in behind by 4 runs with the only hope of getting you any numbers being NY scoring 5 in the 9th to get a win. He doesn't pick up k's as much as previous years either. Guillen is a proven commodity and ends up with good numbers most all the time and has been doing well since coming of the DL. hardy is really doing well and Oswalt is always a nice pick up, but I would stand pat. I spun off Rivera in April for Okajima and Gagne, and actually Okajima alone has helped me more than Rivera would have to this point considering he piles up a good k/inning ratio, an ocassional win and save even with papelbon in the pen not to mention the great whip and era. You have enough pitching to go for the long haul, this is a really bad deal for you. Don't pull the trigger. You'll be sorry by august.

I think you would be foolish to accept this trade. By giving up Guillen and Hunter you would lose two guys who get on base quite often and when anybody gets on base, there is a higher probability they will score, thus scoring you more fantasy points. Guillen has a better OBP and AVG than J.J. Hardy and he is a more established/consistant ballplayer than Hardy. Hunter is a five tool player who can hit, run and score. He can hit for average or power which is a great tool to have. So in a straight swap of position players, you would be getting cheated. Rivera is having an off year and I don't think he will really increase the depth of your bullpen, which already has Rodriguez, Gagne and a healthy(er) Street. As for Oswalt, I don't think he would add much to an already pretty stellar starting rotation. In short I think you would be giving up too much (2 All-Star quality players) for an unproven position player and 2 pitchers that don't add much quality wise to an already deep starting rotation

Don't do it. You have two proven hitters that are helping your team out. Houston is having problems and you might see problems trying to support Oswalt. Rivera will get his chances when the Yankees make their run at the end of the season(hopefully that doesn't pan out), but you will have to wait until that happens. Stick with what you have now and look for some cheaper RP.

Make that trade. Guillen and Hunter are having nice years, but Oswalt and Rivera make that deal tempting. Glavine has been ok, but kinda inconsistent. Oswalt will really help your starting pitching. Hardy is a nice replacement for Guillen. Rivera will be a nice compliment to Street.

You are taking a big hit on your hitting stats. If you are way ahead in hitting it might be worth it, if not I would just wait till Street comes off the DL and use him..
