Don't the Republicans just use other people at their own convienence to vote for the base? I have the Bush election videos as proof along with his Republican stance on fence jumpers in America. Here is my source: http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-jBGnink9fqndrcAimaoWcwkxcO_m?p=71

Since the Republicans do what they always do, and not answer the question, I will just ignore them as usual. You voted twice for these legislators and it is your fault.

Perhaps Republican voters are beginning to think for themselves. To think about what is in their own economic interest and what fits their own concept of what is good for America. This is a good development in my view.

When Reagan signed the Amnesty Bill (from a democratic congress) it was with the understanding that immigration laws would, thereafter be strictly enforced. That never happened.
Now Bush and both parties in congress are ready to do the same only to a much larger number of illegal aliens. It was wrong back when Reagan did it, it is even more wrong now. It is an insult to all the military personnel who have had their lives disrupted, changed or lost defending America from international terrorism while letting illegals cross the borders at will.
It is a great crime against America and now most of congress and the White House seem to have decided to become co-conspirators.
80% of the American people do not want this Bill passed by pretty much every polling source available. Yet they persist. You cannot convince me that they don't hear us. They have chosen to ignore us. They do so at their own political peril and more importantly at great risk to domestic tranquility.

Well I think that the "crying" as you put it, was over granting amnesty to about 8 million illegals. Now they're talking about 12 million (which by the way is more like 20-30 million). I think despite the opposition, the country was able to absorb the original 8 million and their extended families, but to say that we're going to be able to do the same with three or four times that amount, is completely unrealistic.
Right now, I don't give a rat's @ss about who cried about what twenty-years ago. I'm more concerned about what's going on right now.

Aren't you forgetting the democrats are pushing this amnesty through. Bush ran as a moral, conservative republican. The news didn't tell anyone about his plan for a north American union to destroy our sovereignty as a nation, his plans to give amnesty to millions of illegals, or his excuses to go to war with Iraq for oil and blame it on terrorists, or the fact that he would spend more than any democrat. They are all cut from the same self serving parties. Remember it was kept very hush hush until Katrina, then everyone could see that our present government was incapable of governing this great nation.

Amnesty again...I'm surprised that MADD hasn't tried to get prohibition reinstated. There is a lot more data to support the ills of drinking today, then there was back in the 20's. Amnesty will obviously run a regular cycle until the problems at the border are dealt with.

Your "source" says Bush misspoke. He did but he does all the time. You know the issue, it has nothing to do with Bush's poor public speaking abilties.
Are you suggesting that once you cast a vote for someone you should support everything that person does? That may be the liberal way, but conservatives tend to think more independently. If the bill is not a good bill, people should speak out against it, regardless of where it is coming from or who has supported it.

Not all Republicans voted for this scumbag but good point. I am sick of hearing people say, "I like Bush except his immigration crap."

the same reason democrats are crying about iraq even after voting for kerry, edwards, clinton, etc., both before and after they decided to allow the use of force there.

Are you sure you have them? (*wink, wink*)
Bush says that he doesn't remember saying anything about illegal immigrants.
Much like he's quoted as saying that he's never said anything about using troops for nation-building either.
