TIP OF THE ICEBERG PROBLEM:::: Problems are rarely, rarely one sided and one dimensional-- most require 2 people to create, maintain and reinforce over time! My gut tells me that this is just the tip of the iceberg and beneath this slight issue are major issues that both of you have cultivated?
Most partners (most, not all) react this strongly to something this mild if there have been ongoing issues, unless, of course, in marrying him you knew up front that the character of your relationship with him would be plagued with little issues becoming mountains.
If you look deeper, what would you say is driving this behavior b/c your outfit can't really be the cause... it seems more to be the byproduct of other things (e.g., immaturity in decision-making and judgment, an already tough relationship where anger and control are used, previous affair that makes trust an issue now, etc., etc.).

Did he actually say it was down to your choice of clothes, or could it be another reason entirely?
It sounds childish on both sides. He's your husband. You're not both 5 years old. Find out what's wrong!

My daughter had the same problem with a partner till she left him. If he is worried about anyone seeing you, he could have gone with you. Get someone to take a photo of you in this outfit, give it to him and ask what is his problem? Good luck.

sounds like he has issues with his own confidence. You two need to talk or things will definitely get worse. What were you supposed to wear to the beach exactly? Ask him that. I personally would like to know the answer as well.

Well it SUMMER, so he is overreacting,its a heat wave anyway in most places now so its justified.
The fact that you went with his grandmother and your children too, what nerve to say something.
I think you did nothing wrong and he is definitely making a big deal over nothing,, good luck ! shame on him .

sounds to me that's he wants you to wear one piece that covers everything , a jealousy factor he doesn't want other guys looking at you . wow he was a dad at what 14/15 he hasn't grown up yet next time he wears swim trunks or what ever ask why hes showing off his body what goes around can come around !!
