Nobody will like my answer because it is too truthful, too accurate.
And I hate this old question as it only causes unnecessary thinking.
There is no "meaning" to life other than to make more life! (I have no children either, I would like to buy your disagreement, however...)
All life here on Earth is related. All of it is doing the same thing--trying to make more life. Why?
Because we STILL do not know "why" we are trying to make more life other than because we STILL know we don't know why we are trying, STILL!
The meaning of life is to figure out that the meaning of life is to just keep making more life, for now!
There! I've figured it out! Question resolved, for me.

The meaning or life or the purpose of life is to learn as much as you can, passing your wisdom on to the next generation so that mankind can strive to reach the next level. I believe our mission on earth is to rid ourselves of the animistic qualities humans still have and improve our spiritual qualities.
We must oppose evil and liberate as many humans as possible from oppression. Only through freedom can humans hope to achieve the goal of gaining wisdom and shedding the animistic traits.
Evil spawns ignorance and fear. Tyranny is the extension of the code of the animal kingdom: the survival of the fittest. Domination through force. Subjugation of the body, of the mind and of the spirit must be opposed.

Chaos, some of the time! And order most of the time! But the true meaning of my life is when I look at my children, and grandchildren!
Being me was cool, most of the time!
Being married was great most of the time!
But having children, watching them grow and mature, and then having their own families, that's LIFE!

It means for me to enjoy and be happy. Don't take life for granted. I had a second chance at life,by having a Kidney transplant and i am blessed.

Life if understood as soul - the conscious non physical substance then it is the very meaning of you and all our very existence. In its absence being the know er and seer the very existence of universe has no relevance to itself leave alone to you and others.

my meaning of life can change from day to day depending where I am & who I am with ,
sometimes it can be to clam my sisiter in law who suffers w/ anxiety problems
sometimes it can be to help someone who is
feeling upset or down
everyday, I am a wife & a Mother
other days it's being w/ dear friends & family
I have lots of roles in my life so the MAIN meaning of life to me is to try my best to act how God/Jesus would want me to , no matter who I'm with

The meaning of life for me, is my spirituality. Lest I would not be alive today to be a living testament of Creator, and His light and love. To express my life to others that they may know that giving in to the darkness within us all, which permeates our world today, it is not the answer, and they are never alone....That all things can be overcome with the love of our Creator, and His ways.
