try and get used to not using a mouse,its easy for me to say i always have used laptops so never used a mouse and kind of hate using them,but once you get used to the touch pad you might really like it ,less wrist movement and pretty easy to use..

What, no mouse? Just buy one and curse Gateway. My Acer and Asus laptops came bundled w/ a USB mouse.

If u don't want to use the mouse from the touch pad u can also use the USB Optical mouse and also try to disable the touch pad accourding to the user manual

Youll get used to it, ask any one that has had one. It does however hurt your fingers, rubbing away skin cells and skin cells, your fingers will always get dry and hurt. You can however use a usb mouse that you can connect to your laptop. Thats what i did.
