At an overly generous estimate I would say 10%. I truly believe that people that enter the forces want to make a positive difference, some just lose the path and forget why. The bad ones get all the attention and that really sucks.

I would say that a crooked cop is a lot worse than a crooked civilian at least. That is because a crooked cop can do a lot more harm than a crooked civlian. A person can PROTECT themselves from a crooked civilian, but they cannot protect themselves from bad cops. If a cop decides to do something bad to someone, that person can't do anything about it. If a crooked civilian does something, civlians can fight back. Also, a crooked cop is protected from the negative consequences of their actions whilst a crooked civilian is not. Moreover, crooked cops are huge hypocrites.

A minute percentage of them at best. But it always makes the headlines when something does go wrong.
It doesn't make headlines when an auto mechanic, etc. does a bad thing. But a cop does it and it is a huge headline.
This means a couple of things, in my opinion, first off it's rare, second off everyone holds cops to a higher standard.
And cops should be held to a higher standard, don't misunderstand me but it is true that cops are hired from the pool of entities known as human beings, so they are going to have some people with faults.

80% because the all screw up as rookies, and older cops lie for them, 'cept chuck junior maybe.. Christ what a bunch of idiots, having been arrested, i can tell you to expect to get treated like **** until proven innocent, especially during booking, and i have been hit and choked out for just not understanding the procedures. Cops are beyond militant, they are big brothers S.S. and i hope you all WAKE UP!

less than 5%. you never hear about the good things they do, only the bad. there are bad people in every profession but they don't make the news unless they come to the office with a gun.

I don't think that is a high number, cops are under the microscope so a couple bad ones make em all look like crap.
