after finding out that my man of nearly 20 yr relationship has been fooling around with a woman i thought was a friend of mine, and deciding to forgive him and try to work things out since we do have a 12 yr old daughter to consider as well as all the years we've been together, i didn't want to just throw it all away, because i really do love him with all my heart and soul and i feel this is just a bump in the road and we can get past it. my only real concern is that he thinks there are 3 sides to this story... his mine and hers and i don't feel that she should have any say so in how we work things out. She knew perfectly well that he had a family already and decided to get involved when she discovered we were not getting along. Instead of being a true friend and trying to help us resolve our issues she took advantage of the situation and played with his heart and almost had him convinced that he was in love with her. I thank god that she was exposed to be messing around with another

Next time he mentions her opinion just tell him what you told us: Her judgement stinks. She can't conduct a relationship in her own life. How's she going to have input in yours?

Apparently he's dodging independent thinking by deferring to someone else's opinion. If that's the way it's got to be, then your opinion should be the one he defers to.

Houston I think we have a problem. The fact that your husband is even bringing her name up let alone thinking she has a side should be setting all your alarms off. Let's look at this from another angle. This lying cheating couple are telling you that they have something to say as a couple about your marriage?

Your husband may be telling you he wants to work things out but his actions are telling a completely different story. Remember this man lied to you, why would he not be lying now? I think you need to get to the bottom of why his loyalty isn't to you.

i don't know why when man cheat woman are the ones to beg them to stay just let him go coz this will never end you ay forgive him but whenever you're together that thing will come up and most of the time when he is away you will start to wonder where he is so now you start insurerity which is not fair for the other guy which you can love and trust so just move on and see what life has for you.

ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND??? The women should be the last person on earth involved. You need to step up and kick him in the as.
Have some self respect, put space in between all three of you.

There is no way that this "friend" should have anything to do with either of you. As long as she has contact with you or him, there will be trouble. I can tell you that you will never be able to completely trust him again.

Good luck and remember whatever decision you make it will affect both you and your daughter.

I have been where he is. And if he feels it is a 3 way decision, then I have to be brutally honest with you. The affair has not ended. As long as she is around, this affair will always find the time and place to continue regardless what they say to you.

Hi your partner needs to show you more respect, its bad enough that he cheated but to then take her into consideration while trying to sort things out with you is unfair. I'm sorry but it sounds like he is only leaving her because she was messing with someone else, it seems you deserve to be treated much better.

The mistress should have NO say in how you work things out with your hubby.

But, if he cares about her opinion...then he must care about her in some way. Have they really stopped seeing each other?

She shouldn't even be in the picture. There should be NO CONTACT with her by anyone at this point if you are trying to rebuild your marriage.
