we are hiring a car for a holiday and need 7 seats does anyone know how many the above has?

In this country anyway, the Partner is only available with 5 seats. Not sure about other countries, though.

A Peugeot Partner combi has 5 seats.
It is identical in all but badges to the Citroën Berlingo.
There is a 7 seat version of the Fiat Doblo.
Alternatively, the next size up in van-based combis would be the Peugeot Expert, Citroën Jumpy (Dispatch in UK & Ireland) and Fiat Scudo, which seat 7 to 9 people - or you could go for a more car-like MPV such as a Ford Galaxy, Renault Espace, Peugeot 807 or VW Sharan.
