This will work. I do it a lot. Here's What You Need to Use Windows XP Home Edition
• PC with 300 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor clock speed recommended; 233-MHz minimum required;* Intel Pentium/Celeron family, AMD K6/Athlon/Duron family, or compatible processor recommended. In reality, any processor less than 500mhz is a waste of time.

• 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported; may limit performance and some features). You need 256 in my opinion.

• 1.5 gigabyte (GB) of available hard disk space.*.Anything less than 4gb is trouble.

• Super VGA (800 × 600) or higher resolution video adapter and monitor

• CD-ROM or DVD drive HERE IS YOUR LIKELY PROBLEM. Older cd drives will not operate at the necessary speed. Try a new drive.

• Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

Window XP documentation claims that your gadget meets the minimum standards, besides the indisputable fact that, in my expert opinion (definite this is my occupation) you're able to no longer even think of approximately XP without swifter processor and a minimum of 500MB of RAM. Candidly i could propose a minimum of one million GB of RAM. it appears that evidently your device is getting a splash long interior the the tooth. it's time to purchase a sparkling gadget. There are some positive much less high priced computing device platforms available presently.

Windows XP requires at least 256 mb RAM to work perfectly.
Try increasing your RAM to 384 or 512. I am sure XP will install

Follow "fanof the" (and thumbs up).

I've previously successfully installed XP on a Plll-500 w/ 3x128Mb sdram. Perfect for low wattage work like browsing, MP3, light office apps and even DVD viewing.

If you already install Win98 in C:\ drive than

Format your d:\ with verification of each culster, may be their is a problem of your hard disk and Windows found Bad Sector in your Hard disk firstly format your Drive with "CHECK CLUSTER THAT MARKED BAD" through format /c/v d:\ command

otherwise used any Bootable software which include format/partition software.
