Ok......I'm majoring in Child Psychology and I have been curious about children who had Imaginary friends? My boyfriend told me that he had 3 a panther, a squirrel and a lion, he was an only child.....

i had an imaginary friend until i was almost 5. her name was samantha and we only played on the swings and in the sandbox together. my mom would set out a plate for her whenever i ate.
she left...litteraly, after my sister was born. she stuck around til about my 5th birthday.
my brother had one too until just after his 5th birthday. they would fight a lot. then one day, he came home and his friend, jim, didnt come back with him. when we asked about jim, he said they werent friends anymore. it was strange.
since my sister and i lived with our mom, and he lived with our dad and his mom, he was living as an only child til then also.

when I was about 9, I used to have a friend that was a tree, it was close to my house, and I used to pass by it everyday on my way to school by bus. I used to tell her in my mind every new thing that happened with me, I really loved her and truly believed she could hear me..
this lasted for almost 3 years.
I have only one twin sister (not identical).
