There are several things you can do . Personally I would let it alone . If you put your hand in there he may bite you , they are fast and mean . He will not harm you and he is actually beneficial . He will eat rodents around the house . Second if you have to get him out you could just wait till it gets hot and he will come out on his own , then close up the hole so that he can not return under the house . Third , you could try smoking him out by using a smoke bomb ,since its close to the 4 th of July ,you should not have a hard time finding a smoke bomb . Light it and roll it in to the hole as far back as you can .They hate sulfer and smoke . This will defiantly get him out but your house may not smell to well .It will get any thing eles living under there out too.Once he does come out , please don't kill him . Just close up the hole . If you are brave you could pick him up by the tail , put him in a pillow slip and take him away from the house to a safe spot and turn loose . He will be angry so be careful . I have been bitten before ,it's not that painful , just startling .

Truthfully, there isn't much you can do. If the snake doesn't want to come out, it ain't coming out. And coachwhips/racers are notoriously foul tempered. Unless you happen to catch him outside his hidey hole, your best bet is to call an expert, ask around at your local petshops for someone qualified.

If you want, you can just reach in there, grab it and pull it out, but I'll warn you now, it's not venomous if it is a coachwhip or a racer, but you WILL BE BITTEN oh, yes... multiple times... much bleeding and breaking off of teeth in your hand.

He/she/it is keeping pests out of your yard, and isn't hurting you, is it? Why get rid of it then? Why not just enjoy him as he cruises around the yard? I'd love to have some coachwhips in my yard, already have three or four black racers, but I haven't seen a wild coachwhip here in my area of Florida in years...

Some people just don't realize their luck...

If you really want to get rid of it look up nuisance wildlife removal in the phone book, or call animal control. Most likely, animal control will not come out for it unless it is in the open and/or contained, -but- they may be able to get you in contact with someone who might be willing to come in and look for it.

Good luck I guess....
