What does it mean when a beauty cream claims to be 'antioxidant'?

Does it mean it has vitamins in it? What do antioxidant creams do for your skin?

they are chemical substances found in nature. You should know that they are a group of vitamins, such as vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin A (beta-carotene), etc. and nutrients like selenium, lutein, and lycopene.

actually antioxidant is more related to avoid cancer. UV ray can induce cancerous cell. This antioxidant help to reduce the effect of UV ray toward your face

they clear out free radicals.
these are bad and usually caused by the suns UV rays. free radicals attack DNA and can cause messups in the sequence, sometimes causing cancer.
if its in skin cream, itll probably help prevent skin cancer.
