I know they are still under .500, but they have been playing without some of their main players. Some which are due back soon. I think with the addition of this last pitcher and knowing some are coming off injuries soon, that if the Cards can get to around .500 by midseason then they should make a strong showing for the second half of the season. What do you think?

I believe it is really going to be a up hill battle the rest of the year and I just don't see them making the playoffs. They are just an average team with a lot of holes. With that being said just look at last year, they were a little above average most of the year, made the playoffs and exploded to win the world series. I guess that's why they play the games and not just write the winner down on a piece of paper and mail it in.

They will be better, but I don't think they have much of a shot at the division.

Brewers and the Cubs have better pitching and hitting in my opinion. Brewers really should take the division, Cubs can make a run.

Cardinals problems are getting guys like Rolen and Edmunds back are important, but producing at a high level isn't something they have done in a long while.
Their rotation needs some work still. Maroth? pitched well, and will be decent, but isn't the answer, he just helps a bit.

well they had that extra-inning win last night which is always good. They could be, i believe a true test would to see them up against the brewers in a three game series what do you think?
