This one came up a few weeks ago, and while there are a handful of possibilities, because they played so long ago that strikeout data is incomplete, no HOFer definitely meets the criterion, and those olde-tymers almost certainly do not.
DiMaggio is quite close -- 361 HR, 369 K.

Wanted to say Yogi Berra because I knew that consider his long career, he almost NEVER struck out. Only 414 in a 19 year career. Yogi hit 352 homers. Hmmm...not DiMaggio either but very close, Only 8 more SO than homers.... Impressive. Definitely not Babe Ruth, he struck out 1330 times! I give up, don't have the time right now...

Joe DiMaggio
His regular season stats are 361 HR, 369 SOs.
We know Joe played a lot in the post-season so it is certainly possible he has more HRs than SOs.
Edit: Just checked. In 10 WS he hit 8 HR and had 23 Ks.
So close.

Joe Dimaggio. Ted Williams called him the best all-round baseball player he'd ever seen. Ted ought to have known!
