just to be sure: after a pack of lions hunt and kill, who is the first from the pack to eat?

Yes just like everybody else said the alpha male will always be the first to eat
It doesn't matter who made the kill , how big the pride is , or who in the pride is in the most need of a meal whether it is a cub or a female.
The male will be the first one to eat his fill. If the prey is not dead yet then the lion will come in and deliver the finishing blow to the jugular. If a female or a cub comes close to him when he is eating then they will get a big roar telling them to stay back.
The females although they could take him down allow this because there is only one male lion in the whole pack unless he is a cub , so they just tend to his wishes

It's like this. Females do all the dirty work, while the males walk around their territory and pis$ on every tree or grass they can find. Then, when the females catch an impala, or anything else that is food, all of the males come down, and eat first, even if the females did all the work. The cubs and females eat last._
