Should 45 year old guys try to pick up 18 year old high school chicks?

Seeing how the world is changing and people seem to accept young women having older men as their partners, do you think its acceptable for older men to go after 18 year old high school girls? Sounds ridiculous to me but some people here seem to think that there's no problem with it. Some posters say things like " If she's mature enough.." etc If you really believe this idea then you shouldn't have a problem with old men hanging around high schools looking for women or going to the grocery store in the afternoon to find a cashier to be a girlfriend. Am I wrong about this? Don't you think there is something wrong with men pushing aside their wives and women of their own age for innocent flesh?

Why are so many posters so willing to defend old men with younger women including their own daughters?

Age is an issue. Nowdays, more an more people seem to think that having a wife or girlfriend 20 years younger is no big deal. Take a look at that president candidate. Then there are some famous actors. A lot of people think its about money or opportunity and not love or brains. When does it become 'sick' If a 70 year old is chasing 18 to 20 years olds for their bodies doesn't that seem strange? That's what these older guys are after. It's not about minds or love not matter what people say.

If having a lover or girlfriend 20 years younger is okay then there is nothing wrong with doing what all the boys are doing and hanging out looking for 18 year olds at the high school or cheerleading practice.

Isn't it true that looks are what first attracts most people to each other? Hollywood is all about looks. The young girls go their with hopes of am acting job and are willing to do anything to get it. Those with power there use it to get opportunities with the young girls.

Why is it okay for older men like some politicians to have wives who are 20 years younger than them but its wrong for some 40 year old to chase 18 year olds?

Its the women's decision. What in the world the two could possibly have in common is beyond me. I find it repulsive, and I'm sure if that was the situation, it wouldn't be a long lasting relationship (at least it would be a rare case) I think after the 18 year old finally matured a little bit she'd have to think of how disgusting the situation was.

I have a friend who I really no longer can be friends with over this one simple thing. He is 36 she is 18. He is her supervisor at a book store. I think he is being silly and self serving by encouraging her. She has not had any real life experiences as an adult to date. How could she? He is living at home and still at the same retail job for the last 14 years. All the women he has had relationships with in the past have been women he has met at work. I find all that a little strange. I dont think he is capable of having an adult relationship. I also think he has issues with meeting women his own age or closer to it. Maybe I am wrong. But it just all seems so strange to me. This girl-child is only 3 years older than my own daughter! Makes me feel strange now that I ever let them be alone together or spend time when I wasnt here. Sort of makes ya wonder is all. Creepy?? Maybe!

No, the reason it's so common is because an older guy can easily convince a young girl that he is such a wonderful guy, and probably the best in the world. Most 18 yr old guys are sex hungry, don't have stable jobs so they can't buy the gifts, etc...So, these girls really have no basis to confirm that the older man isn't great. Odds are she'll see him as a better listener, more caring, obviously more mature, and easily fall in love. It takes alot more work for him to convince a woman of his age these things, since she's seen the world a bit more, and knows how things work. This is why guys should go for older women. If you can prove to her that you're wonderful then you know you're doing things right. Also it makes since in the sexual nature since women hit their prime much later than guys....See, my theory has logic and reasoning...As far as age, it isn't a big deal when both parties are old & mature enough to realize that just because the person is different from the people your age doesn't make them exceptionally wonderful.

Yes seeing as if the 18 yr old could be the daughter of another 45 yr old. It would raise issues concerning the 18 yr old mental health is she in love with her a father figure? Does she feel ugly and that nobody but an older man can make her feel good? Or does she want somebody with experience? I know that its kinda creepy and would be more at ease with a 20 something yr old since I'm 18.

*Edit* Yes, I am aware that 18 is of legal age, BUT do you consider an 18 year old to be as mature as an adult? Probably not. These guys are just looking for ways to be sick without getting busted.

I can't believe a 45 year old guy can truly 'love' an 18 year old girl, unless of course it's his daughter...Any guy that age trying to pick up an 18 year old is out for one thing and it isn't good. They have absolutely nothing in common. This guy is letting his lust drive him, he's thinking with the wrong head. Maybe he needs to learn how to communicate with women his own age...

No the way i see it is, that person would be old enough to be that poor girls father, and if i had a daughter there wouldent be a chance in hell that i would EVEr let her be with a man that much older, alot of people say "age is just a number" yea well piss off is what i say to them. cuase when your talkin 3-6 years diffrence Ok i can handle that... BUT when your talking 27.. Now that is sick. seriously guys would you want your daughters OR SISTERS or cousins or whatever to date a man old enough to be your father dont you think thats a little wrong? so then you think ... hmm is he a pervert?.... the whole thing just drives me nuts... personally i say NO he should not be trying to pick up an 18 year old if he is 45. there is tooo much of an age difference. yes i think there is something wrong with "down gradeing" b/c women get better with age. but sadly many guys dont see that. and the girl should be ashamed dateing some one old enough to be her father. i just couldnt seeing my self dateing some one i would feel like i had to say "Sir" to.

No! They are called dirty old men where I come from. And they are bordering on jail bait. Yes there is something wrong with it. Older men who do that are only after one thing. They really don't care about the person they are chasing either. I have a brother in law like that and I just about puke every time he comes around and I have to see him in action around younger girls. Gross!

Nope, however be critically cautious...I imply plenty of humans feel there is a HUGE challenge with that. And I imply SERIOUSLY cautious. If you've got intercourse or something even near then he can get thrown in prison as a pedophile. Honestly you most commonly SHOULD uncover any one towards your possess age...I imply, you are slightly historical ample not to order off the children menu anymore, you realize?
