Paul Pierce stated that if the Celtics didnt get a Veteran superstar that he will demand a trade after the draft, My question is will everybody start hating on Pierce like they are on Kobe i mean Pierce is doing the samething that Kobe did.

No I don't think so. You can't compare Pierce's situation to Kobe.

#1 Paul has not publicly berated his team mates or the Celtics management.

#2 He was not responsible for the Celtics bungled rebuilding program unlike Kobe who practically ran Shaq & Phil Jackson out of LA.

#3 He's not even in the same universe as Kobe in terms of immaturity, selfishness & arrogance.

Although Pierce has been frustrated by the Celtics continued losing run he has not aired his dirty laundry in public & has remained professional.

Maybe the Celtics should trade Pierce to LA for Kobe.

Pierce won't receive the same amount of flak as Kobe. Why? Because he is not the household name like Kobe. For that reason Kobe is held to a higher standard. Pierce may be well known to the Boston area and his fans but not nearly as popular as Kobe. Kobe is recognized nationally and globally. I think Pierce's rant slides under the radar with minimal amount of hype.

I guess not, because people didn't care whether he stayed in Boston or not. Boston public already gave up any kinds of hope after the Celtics decided to trade Antoine Walker.
