I read somewhere in a medical journal that the brain fully matures at age 26. So, technically you couldn't be considered a full-fledged adult until then. Wicked! 4 more years!

In general, that's near the age when the human body is at its peak. But it's a very broad peak. Any slow mental decline after that is easily compensated for by education and experience. Even from age 22 to age 26, education and experience will make more of a difference than biological development.

Adulthood is an entirely different matter, as is emotional maturity.

So, even if there is some kind of peak at age 26, it is for most practical purposes irrelevant.
