unemployed, how long and how did you get through the blues?

If you are unemployed, go volunteer. It may not be paid work but it makes you feel better about yourself and if you're collecting unemployment, you feel like you're earning that at least! I did that after my son was born, so that I still felt like I was doing something and at least I know no-one can ever call me a dole bludger!

Yes, I've been unemployed. Once for five years due to an injury. I was too messed up to have the blues. I was in pain.

I lost a job after 18 years..it was a terible feeling..i was out of work for about 6mths.....you get through it though..it was during the summer do i took advantage of the good weather,,,

yeah, i was for a month earlier this year- if you fill your time trying to find a job then you wont feel bad- i layed around alot and felt like a peice of **** so im educately assuming the answer

Yes, and I was out because of a bad back, making it even worse, cuz I've always been as strong as a bull. (And twice as smelly.)
