Men are more likely to cheat.

14 percent of married women have had affairs at least once during their married lives.

61 percent of Americans thought adultery should not be a crime in the United states; 35 percent thought it should; 4 percent had no opinion.

17 percent of divorces in the United States are caused by infidelity.

This would have to be a myth ? lets face it , if a man cannot be satified with his lady , then he is going to go somewhere else to be satified , , as for the woman , well they are in the same boat , , so lets back this up , lets say that you are married and one of you deciedes to have an affair but that one person does not tell the partner . however the partner discouvers that an affaire in the marriage has been dicovered or revealed , , the other partner is typically hurt , bewildered, stunned, or outraged and the partner may insist that the offending partner leaves forthwith.. now the long term marriage can often depend on how the emotions and events of the next two weeks go and are handled , so the partner will probably say we can sort this out in two very different ways .either by the spouce haveing the affair is alarmed into terminating the affair immediately if it has not been already , or else the development of the affair is escalated as a result of the expulsion. SO the answer to your question , is that both of the partners men and woman are likely to be unfaithful , LETS face it this unfaithfulness has been going on since the dot , and it is no myth

truth.. women, scientifically have been 'programmed' with their mothering nature which encourages them to settle down with their partner and their children. Now I know, these days women are settling down a lot less and becoming more and more unfaithful so they might be able to close the gap soon but untill then, we men are likely to be more unfaithful.
