There was no other suspect only because the police never looked for one. They assumed OJ was guilty. But they didn't have proof. The so-called DNA evidence they offered was based on appallingly shoddy lab work, as the defense was able to show. The rest was circumstantial. In this country a person must be considered innocent until proven guilty. They don't have to prove themselves not guilty. And the jury knew very well there was not enough valid evidence to convict him beyond a reasonable doubt. The fact that a lot of people had made up their minds without evidence does not indicate a miscarriage of justice. On the contrary, our judicial system was vindicated.

There were the "four men seen jumping over a wall and, running in the dark" but, this couldn't be proven.

O.J. wasn't on trial here, it was the forensics lab, the detectives and the police department. The judge, allowed the defense team (the dream team) to run all over the court and take the trial on a "circus" for the Nation.

I was paralyzed and, in bed, watched the entire trial, what a circus.
More time was spent judging the forensics team, the detectives than O.J. and, he delighted in it, smiling at times. It was a trail of errors and jokes. It just shows you, if you have the money and the names, you will win, even murder.

There were many witnesses, a maid that heard noises and saw "things" going on, a man walking his dog, that was not allowed to testify, other incidents that weren't allowed, due to some reason or the other and, the judge, Ito, went along with the defense team in all circumstances.

It did allow one thing, the police department changed it's tactics from then on, in fact many police departments changed the ways they collected evidence after this.

refugiotrans, I actually agree with you...

I think OJ is guilty as sin and this whole "if I did it, this is how i would have" bla bla bla book pretty much solidified that in my mind. But you are right, they did a horrible horrible job and OJ had the best money could buy. A poor person would likely be locked up right now, even with that same shoddy evidence, because they wouldn't be able to afford a dream team.
