i also have a core 2 duo processor at 1.7 ghz and 2 gigs of memory but the game runs extremely laggy then closes about a minute after starting

I don't think you can, I recommend buying a good graphics card to run that game because it is pretty "heavy" in the graphics aspect.

I would believe that you could not run this on your system. The reason is that, your video card is integrated and shares memory, and it is not a stand alone graphic card. It will not support 3d features and hardware transforma and lighting. Great card for video, displaying media........ but will not handle 3d what so ever. Even though you have 2 gigs, it will not run. Install a agp card or pci express, should run about 75 to 200 plus tax depending on the quality and memory. 75 for basic to run your games with low settings and about 200 to run your game on high setttings. Unfortanetly if your using a notebook,, you might be out of luck as you would need to change the whole motherboard. If you have a desktop your fine. As long as it has the right expansion slots.

Intel integrated graphics are useful for 2D graphics and video but they suck in 3D applications (games).
Cheap option - Nvidia 7300GS graphics card
Better options - 7600GT or 8600GT
