My GF says that not every guy would have the guts to walk around the block in broad daylight dressed as a girl. Does it really take that much courage? She has challenged me to walk on Linking Road, Bandra, Mumbai at 6 pm on a Sunday dressed in a female outfit suggested by you guys. I am saying it is no big deal. What outfit do you suggest? She has specified that it cannot be a burkha.

Tell her that you'll only do it if you look just like a girl and that you will do whatever it takes to look just like a girl. Let her transform you into a woman and then take you out in public, but only if she has made you look just like a woman and if you don't look just like a girl, tell her that she has to dress you up again until she makes you look just like a real girl so you can walk around in broad daylight.

First being a transvestite is not to do with gayness. The first time you go out "dressed" is a bit nerve racking but I have now been out lots of times and mostly nobody takes much notice. I am not very passable although the lady I work for as a maid does not mind me being seen when I am working in her front garden. I did once go to a party dressed as a nurse including a nurses cape and got some whistles from some passing ladies. Try and relax and behave as though it was all normal. I would like to try a sari myself. Last year I was in Stroud here in the UK and there was a guy in the market place wearing a sari, no make-up or wig and nobody was taking any notice of him.

Any guy can dress up like a girl and stay at home. But it takes guts and some sense in acting to come out in the street and walk among others without being found out.Wearing a Sari will cover most of your disproportionate body shape.

In India, it's probably not as big a deal as it would be in other countries. Don't females' clothes cover up a lot of the body there? People probably wouldn't be able to tell that it was a guy.

No it does not take guts to dress like a girl, but why would you listen to your GF. Is she proving a point for some lame reason.

Yes it takes a lot of guts, because he will be laughed at, and people will think he is either gay or a wimp. Unless he is so convincing as a female, in which case he will be leered at by men, which may be worse for him.
