Talk to your doctor. I had a yeast infection during my pregnancy and was told not to use anything internal...and that I should use anti-itch creams externally.

Leaving any infection untreated is a risk.I have found with recurrent yeast infections that yoghurt eaten and syringed vaginally helps as does a weak solution of vinegar and water externally helps. Try and wash with a non-soap product, wear cotton knickers or none at all, cornflour helps with the itch as it asorbs. DO NOT eat a heap of sugar yeast grows with it Remember that the more you itch the worst it gets
All the best with bubby

This is a very important question to ask your doctor in the morning.
Things you can do....
Use unsented laundry detergent and unsented fabric softener.
Also you can use half the amount of the softner recommended or not use it at all.

Only wear White Cotton underwear. And I mean the whole piece of underwear and NOT the kind that has cotton croutch in it.

Get toilet paper unsented and soft.
Keep your peri area well badded off when you pee and crap.
Always whipe from the front to the back.

When you take a shower or bath, be sure and use Dove Soap. It is the one most recommended by dermotologists.

Make sure you talk to your doctor.

are you positive it's a yeast infection? it's normal to have a white discharge, called leukkorhea... i noticed it at around 16 weeks, but most women will get it much sooner. it lasts through your whole pregnancy though. if it is doctor-diagnosed, then i'm sure he has or will give you the right medication to treat it (as they do with a UTI)... if it isn't, then maybe you should bring it up at your monthly appointment, for sure. otherwise, i'm pretty sure it can do some harm to your baby.

Talk to your doctor about it. You shouldn't use creams without first checking with your doctor when you are pregnant anyway. But I have heard it is a common thing in pregnant women so I would see what your doctor can suggest for you.
