I'm frustrated because 1st topic I selected (Post-traumatic stress disorder & substance abuse), the professor said it was too broad, & I changed it to something else (people with mental disabilities abusing Klonopin), & now she says it's too narrow. It has to be on substance abuse being related to disability, & I also have to pick a side (argument) on whether I'm for or against the specific drug usage being associated with a specific disability & explain why. I've never been good @ writing papers.

Dissociative disorders and abuse of xanax. Many in-patient hospitals use xanax as a fast acting anxiety relief medication. They are prescribing these PRN, as needed, to the people who are trying to deal with past abuse, all the while they are getting hooked on a medication that puts them into a haze to calm them instead of letting them deal with their issues in the hospital setting. It seems as if the workers in the hospitals just want the people "calmed" for their time in there and do not care about the after effects of xanax once they are out of the hospital. Xanax, once the body starts to build a tolerance to it, makes the person even more anxious, leading to more problems than what they had going into the hospital. I know of six people who have suffered due to this. You can mail me if you would like to know more.

Boy that teacher is so picky. This one's too big, this one's too small - does she think she is Goldilocks? I think that the lady who suggested you do it on Xanax has many good ideas and you should be able to find a lot on the subject.

When I was in school, how I choose a subject for a paper was by how easy it was to do research on it. I didn't want to waste my time looking for information; I wanted to spend my time writing. Before you tell the teacher your subject,. check first that you can find a lot writing on that subject.

Good luck with Ms. Professor Fussy-Butt.

If she say your second one is narrow, do some research on Klonopin and mental disabilities and add to the report you have.
