Racism grows fertile in United States because the whites government did not teat fairly the same rights to the black african american and indian aborigin people.They have no same chance for better living,better education and better works.It is against with human rights.

It simply puzzles me , why This country has such a ugly past when it is simply the most blessed place to live , compared to all the other places on earth > we have a stable government , and almost unified amongst the people. Our faith is mostly christ , our punishment system isn't even close to worst as other country's, we are the most powerful country in lead , even though that's a bad thing , but We have teams of brilliant scientist who discover things about our planet day and day . All of our citizens are capable of accomplishing something . This country isn't as hopeless as it seems .

well, till 40 years ago the U,S government was horribly racist towards black -it did a huge shift
and the U.S is now one of the more racially equal countries in the world .
as far as individuals being racist- there is a huge amount of racism in any country - the U.S is not exceptionally bad.

So far, I'd have to disagree with Dannywood, racism is still pretty bad among US citizens.
