well it really depends on your schools requirements.
usually coaches like to see some sort of tumbling experience most teams require a standing backhandspring and the minimal. check with the coaches before tryouts begin...
if you dont have the tumbling then be sure that everything else is top notch like jumps, spirit, and willingness to learn new things. if you show the coach that you are determined then you will propbly make the squad. dont give upif you dont make it this year, i didnt make my school team until my senior year yet a competed with all stars and coached a national championship team, i also tried out every time, to show my commitment. if you dont make it this time ask the coach what you need to improve on for next time and work on it. also try out for your local all star program its only competetion which i liked better then school team.
Good luck and remember dont give up!!!

most cheerleaders have good abs and biceps and calves
just try doing sit ups and push ups every day, I would also suggest running a little to kick up your endurance for routines

stretch everyday for flexxibility skills- most coaches want splits or heelstretches, if you become a flyer you have to be really flexible

for tumbing on JV you'll only need a roundoff I'm guessing- it's pretty similar to a cartwheel, so practice your cartwheel until someone can show you how to do a roundoff

Lots of upper body strength (arms, etc) and leg strength. Also have good coordination and remember how to do long routines. Have some dance experience. You should also be VERY flexible, have a great attitude, and team spirit!

Well, you should be well-coordinated in the arms and legs. Also, while you may be nervous about trying out, you should stow your nervousness in a trunk once the time for tryouts rolls around.
