The Y!A interface itself sucks big time.
For those who answered to exchange external addresses, many people are reluctant to do so.

Yahoo mail has 1 Gigabyte of storage if your talking about emailing through Answers you should exchange your regular email address with frequent contacts

Ways to get around that ... make a 360 or use another account for emailing contacts from answers--via regular email address--a rogue account that won't interfere with your regular/beloved account *wink*.
And yes, it sucks!
