if she's running against fred thompson, rudy giuliani, or mitt romney, she will lose. the far left may be able to get her through the primary, but she's way too far left and exhibits way too many socialist tendencies for most americans to trust her. she already has a dismal public policy track record as first lady with her healthcare debacle, and she has yet to put forward a single consistent, strong belief. she went from midwest moderate, to far left liberal defending murderers in the black panther party, to wannabe southern lawyer governor's wife after flunking the bar in every other state where she took it, to carpet-bagging senator of new york. ted bundy would envy her chameleon abilities.

To win the general election, you have to carry the independent 'swing' voters. Many of them already do not trust her, do not like her, and have already decided to vote against her. I HOPE, for the Democrats' sake, that she does not win the primary. If she does, the Dems will have once again chosen the least-electable candidate.
What you need to ask yourself is this: what do you want more, Hillary in the White House, or a Democrat in the White House. If it's more important to you that a Democrat, ANY Democrat, takes the presidency, then you should try to get a more electable candidate. John Edwards currently has the best head-to-head results against the likely GOP candidates.
HIllary is a big gamble, one that is likey to land a Repblican back in the White House. Is that a risk you are willing to take?

I don't have any idea about if she will win or lose. Keep in mind that a candidate does not have to win a majority to get elected. It may be decided by the votes received by third party candidates to the left and right of the "major" party candidates.
I suspect she would beat Rudy G. because he is too liberal for the GOP base and his nomination would encourage a staunch and popular conservative to launch a third party campaign. It would take a Green Party candidate with lots of name recognition to offset that and give Rudy a chance, I think.
If we pull out of Iraq this year and the terrorists "follow us home" and pull something as big as 9/11before fall of 08, that would help any GOP contender other than Ron Paul (who is the only major party candidate I could vote for).

The only way for a Democrat to get elected president is to: 1) hold the democrat vote and 2) pull in independents. (The republican party IS the majority party at this time.)
If Hillary gains the Democrat nomination, she will lose. I know too many Democrats that dislike her enough that they will vote for ANY republican, rather than have her disgrace their party. Nor do independents want another Clinton (or Bush) in office. Jeb Bush will never be president either...

Hillary will WIN the General Election; Barack Obama will be our next Vice President, and this will happen after they soundly defeat a Guilani/Thompson Republican ticket.

She would not make a good president. She's power hungry. I don't even see her winning the primaries. This country isn't ready for a woman president yet and certainly not her.
