No, it really doesn't have anything to do with brushing your teeth! It has to do with time. If you want to remember you dreams, put a pad of paper and a pencil/pen next to it. The SECOND you wake up, start writing. Do this every day for a week and you will probably find out you're deepest fears. True, try it.

I think that the ritualistic act of brushing your teeth triggered a response in your brain.
"Wake up. It's time to go to work. Be alert."
and you forgot!!
If you want to remember your dreams, keep a pen and some paper by your bed and write them down as soon as you wake up.
