I know, I dont log onto Yahoo Answers that much anymore. Well, Im here today to talk about Chris Benoit. Chris Benoit always was a great worker in the ring and seemed to be a very nice guy outside the ring. But, After what has happened over the span of the weekend, I have to say Benoit has let me down. Benoit took his wifes life, His 7 year old sons life, Then he took his own life. I for one think that is terrible. Something possibly made benoit snap, But there is NO excuse to murder a 7 year old child. This is all a bunch of crazy stuff that has went down. As much as I liked benoit, I dont respect the man anymore after his cowardly ways of murdering his son and wife. Sorry, But thats how i feel.
Now, As many of you are expecting a question, Here it is- What are YOUR thoughts on this situation

My thoughts are the same as yours.
Cant even imagine what went so terribly wrong in his life to make him snap and kill himself and esp his wife and son.

Hey man, perhaps it's a bit insensitive to argue semantics regarding this truly tragic and disturbing ordeal, but in light of some your comments and especially the kudos that you got from the other posters, I just gotta say that for me personally, some of your phrasing sounds like you're condemning the man for cheating on a test or something!
"I have to say Benoit let me down"
Come on pal, the guy committed two grisly murders of his own kin, and then himself. It's a heinous, practically unspeakable act. The stuff of the worst nightmares.
Again, I know your intentions were pure, and maybe I'm nitpicking, but people get sensitive over little things so soon after something so shocking like this occurs, especially when it's still so fresh in our minds.
All in all however, your main points are well taken if not a bit obvious. I mean, assuming there is absolutely no foul play involved, how can the man EVER be condoned?

I have to say, as does everyone, what he did to his family was terrible. But I can honestly say that I will miss seeing him wrestle. Its hard not to miss the greatest technical wrestler of all time. Of all the superstars in the WWE, there are two that I think worked harder than any other: Chris Benoit and Eddie Guererro. And as much as people want to believe that Benoit went to hell, I know that he is up in heaven, wrestling with Eddie and all the other late legends of wrestling, for God's amusment. One bad deed, no matter how bad, can condemn a good, hard-working man to an eternity in hell. As for the last f****r's comment, Chris Benoit was NEVER a coward, NEVER, and he still has my full and upmost respect. Chris, you will be missed.

I totally agree with you. My family has been around the business for a long time (I've known it was not "real" from the start) and Benoit was well respected behind the scenes.
It's a tragedy that has happened, but sadly it happens in all walks of life, not just wrestling. I do think that the media will run with whatever angle they can get to make it look like a steroids issue (thanks baseball) even though any reports on toxicology won't be in for weeks.

I agree with you very much. I see no reason why he had to kill his seven year old child, but I see no reason he had to kill his wife either. The whole thing makes no sense! I respect his work in the ring and out (he did help with McManhon charities for children).
I agree what he did was aweful and unreasonable. I just have a hard time wrapping my head around what happened. I think about it alot and wonder what was going through his mind and why. My husband also does not understand and he is/was a very big fan of Benoit.

I agree with you I just have to say i respect benoit but im so shocked at what he did to himself his wife and his son! I just wish he got help and things would be different but its not. I just look on what he did in the ring on how he entertained his beloved fans and showed that he cared for his fellow co workers. When the police said he did this i cried so hard i grew up watching him. I think he tried to talk to nancy said what he thought she didnt understand went in his basement and just went into his own world thought he would take himself into harm and hurt his own family and himself. I want to say i respect him but not how he harmed himself wife & child.I wish he got help

its like this
everyone is so quick to blame benoit for the killings because of all the one sided facts presented by the media,
at first i thought maybe he was angry coz he got shafted to ecw, but then i realised he wouldve been champion, and then as for the whole personal problem side of it, i reckon something happened within the home and benoit discovered his family dead and later hung himself OR it was all staged and they were murdered,
if you look atthe text messages why would they be sent from both nancy and chris's phone. another side is if you read the message that says dogs are enclosed garage side door open, its like his inviting whoever it is he texted to come in, but then later they say the cops had difficulty getting in coz of the dogs. wtf? i dont think we should be so quick to judge him and label him a murderer, have some respect

nope. i think of it got here approximately precisely because of the fact the government say it did. Chris Benoits recommendations grow to be examined and he grow to be got here across to have the recommendations of a eighty 5 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous alzheimers individual. The medical examiner did no longer have faith steroids brought about it the two. She thinks he grow to be laid low with recommendations harm from head injuries. fairly, he went loopy.

I dunno what could force a man who seemingly has everything in the world to commit such an unspeakable act of violence. Killing his wife was a horrible thing to do but killing his own flesh and blood was something totally unthinkable. It's amazing how someone that seemed so normal on the outside could be so troubled inside. My thought's and prayer's go out to the victims families.
