yeah i seem to notice that when theres no one watching me play i seem to do pretty well but when i see them looking at me playing i tend to do very bad missing most of my shots and lay ups.. even when im not looking at them and im missing i know they are looking at me because i look at them after and all their eyes are on me.... so i was wondering what are some good techniques on just focusing on the game and not the crowd because i dont know of any..

Its all mental, if you love the game, just concentrate on the game itself, me personally, I like people watching me play, it makes me focus more on what I need to do to shine.

Nothing you can do.

You need to build up your confidence through repitition and practice to be comfortable with your game on the court, rather than determine a way to block out people who will ALWAYS be there.

I struggled with this often in HS, I played guard on the playgrounds and was a beast, but was a PF on my HS team cause of my height, so my game was changed, I didn't like the structured system, and I often got nervous during games knowing the crowd was there. Looking back on it i'd LOVE to get just one game back.

People are gonna come to your games...that's something you have no control over. Just practice your skills and gain your confidence, and you'll learn to key in to task at hand, stuff you can control. I think it has more to do with you being uncomfortable out there and uncertain. If you know you can make the shot, you won't hesitate and miss.

I'm pretty clutch on my team, I just look at my team mates and when I walk on the court I know im the one, and I know im in the uniform, and just play myself, I act as if im in my backyard shooting hoops acting like im in the NBA Finals, alot of people use this method including star Chauncey Billups.

Hope it helps!

Focus on who you are guarding, or who's guarding you. Your goal is to crush him, and make him look bad!! Also, don't look at people after you do something, make a different habit of looking directly at the score board instead. Eventually you'll break the old habit.

play bettern, even if it means cheating or playing dirty.
