Okay, well as sad as it is. Unless you are VERY VERY VERY talented, you will need a bit more.

Just because you live in a small town, doesn't mean there isn't oppurtunity, it might just mean there is less. But that shouldn't stop you!

What you should do is keep taking acting classes, and also try and get cast in more plays and musicals.

You could also branch out into local commercials, informercials and print work.

Then send your newly bulked up resume, headshot and cover letter to agencies. To find SAG agencies in Kansas, look here:
http://www.sag.org/sagWebApp/application?event=bea.portal.framework.internal.refresh&pageid=AgentInformation

Then, you will have an agent, who can get you more profile auditions.

And then Wa la! -You're started in the acting business!

Some suggestions just for being a better performer are;

1. Never underestimate the value of your health.

2. Love yourself.

3. Grow as a performer, and individual.

4. Use "I am" instead of "I want" or "I wish"

5. Be positive

6. Don't judge, observe, and always be conciously aware of what's happening.

7. Take as many classes and study as much as possible.

8. Volunteer

9. Be kind a polite to everyone

10. Have fun.

11. Create your own oppurtunities, don't wait for them to come to you.

12. Don't gossip, but be courageous.

13. Don't ONLY dress to impress.

14. Learn to say "No"

15. Be yourself

16. Find a support group, for everything you do

17. Relax

18.Go within for all answers. Don't ask for opinions. Don't give opinions.

19. Practice patience.

20. Be grateful.

Hope this helps! Good luck breaking into the business!

You do not need an agent, at this stage. Wait until you are older when you can move to New York City and pursue your interest in acting.

One easy way is to get an agent. Like call one up for a meeting and he'll see if he thinks u got wut it takes.

anter way is to just look for people with connections. Even if it means contacting your friends mothers ex-husbands sisters daughters friends mothers friend who happens to be directing/producing a movie and is looking for new and fresh actors/actresses.

Its all about dialing, talking, contacting, and of course... cookies :)

Also, you might have to travel. Traveling to like Hollywood and just being around people with little skits or on set of a movie and suddenly (during break) make everybody nervous that ur going to do something, then have somebody start clapping (of course it'll be planned)

Or find auditions for a movie or T.V. show that you can try out for. I did it once... i didnt make it buuuut at least i tried.
