Confirmation? as in Catholic confirmation? If so you are confused as to the purpose of taking a name. The name you chose is suppose to be a saint that exhibits a trait or something that you connect with and you can have a partner in prayer. So new, hip and modern do not go with confirmation.

My Catholic confirmation name was Kateri Tekakwitha. One of my middle names is Katherine, but I didn't want to use St. Katherine, it is too common. I wanted something unique.
After researching this patron saint, found that she & I had a lot in common.
I am of American Indian decent, she was a Mohawk. I love nature & she was associated with flora, nature & ecology.
A confirmation name should be chosen carefully & should represent something of unique about yourself.

You did'nt say if you were a boy or a girl.. so I'd say take whatever name you like! It just has to go back to a saint.
Like I took Noel and my saint was Saint Nick.
My friend chose Valentine, I thought tht was really cute :)
