It was a ball. He wants you to play catch with him.
Seriously, don't play with this spider, it could be poisonous.
Or he might have collected all the lint on your shirt and wanted to present it to you in a nice neat ball.
Or the real answer is probably that the spider was preparing for the web he's going to make.

Pedro,
You got me to check on spiders and webs, thank you very much; I am a little disgusted, but seriously, it is very interesting. I think the egg sac sounds good too.

An inch long; I would have run 20 miles.

Sounds funny or weird to some but yeah, it was an egg sac.

For instance...

During summer, the female nursery web spider can be seen roaming about carrying a large white ball underneath her. This is her eggsac and she carries it everywhere in her fangs until her young are ready to emerge. When this time comes, she takes the eggsac to the top of a tree or shrub and constructs the nurseryweb.

maximum suitable element to do in case you think of that's a spider bit is take her to the ER if the Dr.'s workplace isn't open at present... whether that's a spider chew relying on what form of chew she could choose clinical treatment... that's something else like a fireplace ant or maybe mosquito chew because of the fact they sort a white head on the exterior after 24 hours.. If she has any indicators that are out of the time-honored seek for clinical interest ASAP!!

I have also seen spiders spin balls so that they can catch the wind and use the ball like a parachute to travel with the wind.
