I think that's just part of any fish's nature. I've had fish other than black moors that will do this. Probably for wild fish, food may not be available every day, so when it is, the instinct of the fish tells them to search for, and eat, everything they can find because it may be a while before their next meal. Even though the fish are being regularly fed, their instinct is still programmed to "seach" to make sure none was missed.

Be sure that you are giving them enough to eat - as long as they will eat what you give them in 2-3 minutes with none left over, you aren't overfeeding. You can give them that amount up to twice a day (or divide the amount for two feedings into as many smaller feedings as you want, just don't give them more than the total amount they'd get in the two meals). But as the fish grow, they will need more food.

You can also vary their diet for a better balance of vitamins and minerals. Goldfish should get some plant material in their diets, so try giving them a piece of romaine lettuce, peas (remove the skin first), lima beans, slices of squash or cucumber, grated carrots, or orange slices once in a while. Other than the oranges, cook or freeze the food a few minutes to soften them to make them easier for the fish to eat. They also like frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp as a treat.

All goldfish will do this. They are just little piggies! no matter how many times you'll feed them they still will act like that.
