Oh, nothing that says not to. The biggest things to do is get your Dr's opinion about it. I had quite a few massages when i was pregnant with my 1st baby, the only thing that i wouldn't recommend is if the masseuse uses a hand tool that violently vibrates. when you not prego that feels great but you don't want to get jarred around, I use to work in a chiropractic office, the massage therapist there were very gentle and had different methods when it came to pregnant women. I am pregnant again and I am scheduling one the first second i have back pains, it is very relaxing during your last trimester, As long as your Dr. OKs it id go for it....

Some doctors say that it's fine to get a massage but after 5 months you should specify to the masseuse that you want a pregnancy massage. My husband treated me to one on our anniversary and it was great. They won't lay you on you belly, instead they use alot of oil and slide their arms under your body using your own weight to massage. I loved it, and it helped with the lower back pain I'd been having.

It depends on what you're massaging. There are certain pressure points that during pregnancy can cause contractions. There is a pressure point four fingers from your ankle bone, one is one finger width up from the buttocks crease, and between the webbing of your thumb and index finger.
Other than that, you should be fine! :)

I would listen to your doctor. I have never heard of massage being unhealthy during your pregnancy. Sounds to me like your hubby just doesn't want to offer to help. Here is a web site that explains the do's and the don'ts of pregnancy massage.
www.massagelotion.net/prenatal%20massage.htm
edit:
oops just go to www.massagelotion.net and search for pregnancy massage

it is very safe! They make special tables with a cutout for your tummy so there is no pressure on the baby.
