root beer with no beer, does that mean they just want root?
I had a customer order that last night.

ok... well i guess he was just playin you cuz like how can u have a root beer w/ out a beer you can't cuz there isn't any beer in a root beer sorry if that was confusing hope this helped

If I had been the waitress, I would have brought him a sassafras root (which is what root beer is made with) and told him to enjoy.

It sounds like your customer was playing around and just wanted some interaction more than the root. :-)
My suggestion is to play around with them. I love jokes, share jokes with people, that way you know more jokes later on......

Its a joke. I am a waitress too. I have people ask for "pine" floats & mudand weird ****. they think is funny (pine float is a water with a toothpick in it)mud (is coffee)
