Also, what would someone have to do to make you report them?

I reported 1 woman because she went to my myspace, got to my boyfriends page through mine, found his name, and then posted his full name on Yahoo Answers, which I consider a huge invasion of privacy. I don't care about the fact that she went to my myspace, if I didn't want people to look at it, I wouldn't have posted the link to my page, but she didn't have to go to the extremes she went to.
But thats it, no other reports.
The thing about the thumbs down isn't really effective because in order to give the thumbs down, you have to read the response first, so its kind of defeating the purpose. I give thumbs up when necessary, but I'm not a big "thumbs downer" though.

I have never reported anyone in the past because I feel it's lame and childish. The only reason I reported someone this week was because they posted links to vile animal porn pictures...without telling anybody that's what they were. To me, that's worthy of reporting. I wouldn't report someone just because they say something politically incorrect or something I don't agree with.

Three, average. They have to break Yahoo! rules. If I notice one, I also look at the people who respond to them in the same way, usually opposing their view with swearing, name-calling, or adult material and report them as well. I'd hate to just report one side.

If it is particularly bad, I check their other posts and see if they do the same thing elsewhere consistently, then write Yahoo! a short note to that effect.

If we were in a neighborhood, and my house got egged, or someone posted pornographic material to the door, or burned a cross on my lawn, would you close your shutters, and pretend you AREN'T responsible for that behavior spreading, creating an atmosphere where such behavior can be done with impunity despite clear laws/rules saying, "No"?

I couldn't live next to someone like that.

I report about 1 person per month..
They have to be really bad language or inappropriate for kids..
I don't like to report people as we all have our opinion and I ask the question to get their opinion too.

I don't have the time to report anyone unless there is something that is totally unacceptable. I am not easily offended which is probably why I have not bothered reporting anyone.

None. I would report them for not following the Yahoo! Answers guidelines.

i don't report people.... i just give them a THUMBS DOWN... for being a bigot, rude, etc.

for some extreme things... impersonating another user or being really violently racist, i report.

i could report more people than i do. i only have reported about 3 people the whole time i've used y!a.

I haven't reported anyone yet, but I would if someone was unnecessarily perverse. Luckily I haven't come across any like that.

ZERO. I don't believe in it. Any one that does should be kicked off of here.
Y/A give you three other options to this, 1) don't select a question you don't like. 2) down thumb an answer you don't like, it goes away. 3) You can now block the member by going to their profile and selecting that option.
NO ONE has the right to sensor something from the rest of us, just because they're "whittle feelins are hurt".
