I have tried to stay on Benoit's side, giving him the benefit of the doubt in the fact that he maybe took steroids, blacked out and when he regained consciousness and saw what he had done, he killed himself. But, that is not what happened. From a fan's standpoint I still kinda like The Rabid Wolverine, but as a person, I can't help but despise Chris Benoit. I mean, he killed his wife and son, and then himself. HIS SON, A 7 YEAR OLD, and his wife. He always seemed like such a good person and was a great in ring performer as the Rabid Wolverine, who I still like. But Chris Benoit, the person, must have had more problems with his family behind the scenes than anyone knew about. I have tried be on Benoit's side, but, I just can't, He tied up his wife and choked her to death with an extension cord. Then he smothered his son to death. And, as his final act, he hung himself using weights and a cord on his weight set. I like the Rabid Wolverine, but can't stand Chris Benoit. But still, R.I.P

It caught everyone by surprise. He was a great guy backstage and I think nobody expected anything like this, at all, in any way.

I'm glad somebody posted this. This is the absolute truth, but you see the fact is...

The Rabid Wolverine and Chris Benoit are the same person - and I look at this and I can no longer like the Rabid Wolverine side of Chris Benoit, because it is still Chris Benoit the murderer of his wife and 7 YEAR OLD, that being said, I have no respect for Benoit.

Yes. It's a sad thing.

Like they said earlier in the Press Conference. This was more than likely Roid Rage. I don't believe he was "with it" when he was going this. He was just...Psycho for a period of time. And when he snapped back to reality, after he had did what he did..He just decided to hang himself.

You must, also look at it with another perspective, as well. We are all humans...We all have problems. Addictions. And everything else. Things happen, and sometimes it's just out of our control, and we can't help what we do some time. We all must learn to forgive, even those who have made a murderous act.

It's sad that it ended the way it did.

May he and his family RIP<3

My god Pat D, what is it that's wrong with you? If you seriously sit on here just to read over topics you have no interest in, only to criticize other people's opinions then you my dear are the one who needs to get a life.
While most of us never got to meet this man we did grow up seeing him damn near every Saturday, which then led to 2 or 3 days a week on tv, and I'm not sure about you but when you watch someone's career for that long, tv or not, you do tend to get taken aback by news this big.
Don't put someone down for how they feel about ANY other human being. Knowing someone isn't always about meeting, shaking hands, spending time. "Fans" as we are, we knew the side of him that performed every single show that got put on television, read his books, took pride in knowing the things that we know and I, as I'm sure most others, would appreciate it if you would find a different topic to put your 2 cents in on. Putting people down is not going to help any situation period so please do as my mother always said "If you can't say something nice, shut the hell up!"

He must have had serious mental problems to do this, whether or not steroids were involved. It is a shame he wasn't able to get professional help before it was too late.

I used to like imitating him when he put his thumb across his throat before doing the head butt from the top rope into his opponent's shoulder. After what he did, I don't think I can imitate him again.

well anyone who spoke last night said Chris was a private man and kept his family private. no one knows what his personal life was like we all wonder what could have brought him to this point where he felt there was nothing else to do but kill them. as a wrestler GREAT one of the best i have ever seen. as a person its one of those situations where you are at a loss
