The Lakers and the Timberwolves are in trade talks right now. The Lakers are offering Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom in exchange for Kevin Garnett. Do you think that's a fair trade? And if Kevin Garnett does play for the Lakers, will that help restore the team back to championship level?

I think it could work if the Lakers were to give up Odom, Bynum, and their 19th overall pick in the NBA draft for Garnett

The Lakers didn't seem to have any trouble with them during the regular season. Though, it was just the regular season. But the Lakers are a better team this year where as the celtics are the same. So I'm thinking the Lakers would have beat the celtics this year. I bet even Orlando would have beat the celtics (with garnett) in the playoffs.

Garnett would be a perfect fit for the Lakers until Kobe has him run out of town. But it would instantly restore the Lakers to a .750 team instead of the garbage they are now. And if Kobe wants out still then ship him to Chicago. A Garnett, Kobe combo would be beautiful, just hope it stays 2gether if it happens.

Deals dead for Garnett but maybe Kobe can get his whiney wish and be traded. I have never disliked an athlete so much as him. Well there is Barry ''jack in the box head'' Bonds.

Actually the Laker trade is dead. There is a 3 way team trade involving Phoenix, Boston, and Minnesota that is currently in the works. The only thing that is keeping this from being finalized is Shawn Marion. Boston wants him to sign an extension on his contract so they can get him for more than just 1 year. This is in the works as we speak

Phoenix gets Kevin Garnett
Boston gets Shawn Marion
Minnesota gets 5th overall pick and other players (unknown at this time)

Garnett is a great player and a helluva guy. He doesn't want to get mixed up in that jerk Kobe's mess. Phoenix would be a perfect fit for Garnett.

The trade I would really like to see is Kobe, Barry Bonds, and Michael Vick to the Russians for the Klitschko brothers and a case of Stoly's.

It looks like that may never happend, but if he was comming to the Lakers, then yes the Lakers would be back on top in the west.

ASIDE from the fact that no one is about to give up KG for Odom and Bynum, It probably would get them back to the top but McHale would have to be on acid to agree to that trade.

No he's not , the timberwolves stated that they don't want to trade Garnett to the west side because they don't want to play against his talent, and Kobe siad himself he would like to go to the east.

rumor has it kobe has been talking to him on the phone
i heard it on 710 espn in LA.
They said it is unlikey Garnett would come to the Lakers,
however I think Kobe is getting good at calling people
up and expressing his feelings.
Whos next? maybe he will call Raja Bell and admit
he was not hugged as a child.

If Minnesota trades KG, then Minnesota should fold up the tent as they will find themselves with a relatively worthless and unmarketable NBA franchise.
