Yes. I was in New Orleans, and I was like 8 years old. My mom and I were staying at my aunt's house, and we were sleeping in this room right by the front door. I can't remember exactly how the guy got in the house. I think it might have been a break and enter, but he just walked right in, walked right by where my mom and I were sleeping, went upstairs, and stole a bunch of my aunt's and my cousins' valuable jewelry and probably some money too. Being that I was only 8 at the time, everybody acted like it was no big deal and didn't talk about it much when I was around. Nothing was really going through my mind when the robbery was actually going on since I was asleep, but then afterwards when I found out, I was scared since I had been in the room right by the door (luckily the robbers walked right by our room), and I didn't feel so safe in my aunt's house anymore! I don't even think they did anything about it either. They didn't even report it. They were like "Oh well, we live in a crappy neighborhood, and some thugs stole some crap from us!" Haha, they didn't really say that, but that's basically what everybody thought about the whole situation!

I've been robbed once.
I felt like someone was invading my privacy, my place. I was so upset and angry at the same time. Things were stolen that had value (monetary and sentimental value). The sentimental value things hurt the most - memories/gifts from a grandparent that passed away etc.
After my house got broken into, my family and I got an alarm for the house. Never had a problem since. We had a couple false alarms trying to get use to it and all but no break-ins ever since. We lived in Stockton, CA.

well a little over a year ago me and my dad was walking out a gas station to see somebody starting our truck.Does that count? If so.Pop yelled and charged I charged and grabbed the thief in a headlock(through the driver side window). The thief then put the truck in gear took off and hit Pop.I still had the headlock so I picked my feet up so I wouldn't be drug.We made a big circle around the parking lot and hit a dumpster,I put my feet down and started throwing punches.Police pulled me off took them to hospital.
Pop still ain't the same.He got bruises covering right side of his brain,he can't hardly talk right anymore. But since there was a mental history with that fing thief the court let it go.

I was robbed way of gun to head in Tampa Florida on December 26, 2000. I'd rather not go into further... puts me in a bad frame of mind. not sure why I even answered-- prefer to keep a low profile.

well, I've never been around when a person was stealing, but last year someone stole my new mp3 player out of my locker and cut the cord on my headphones so I couldn't use them anymore. I was so angry and upset, I felt like crying or punching the kid in the locker next to me even tho he didn't steal it. it was really crappy, especially since I'd only had the mp3 player for three months and it had been a birthday present.

i felt the same about the getting out. I am in Nashville. I just sort of felt like it was a bad, doomed place. My Dad got robbed of some of his money, his nice rolex, and cell phone. IT SUCKED!

I was robbed while working in a hotel in Atlanta, GA. I just gave the guy what he wanted (money) and then he asked for more, I told him there was no more and he screamed at me and then left.
While it was going I thought to pull the dollar bill to set off the silent alarm and while he was yelling for more money I was just praying that he wouldn't kill me.

came close, i was in aurora illinois and someone ran up behind me and grabbed my purse and it spun me around so fast that some how i managed to grab a hold of the part of the purse that had the money in it. when i realized that i had control i yanked the strap out of his hand and he almost fell to the ground. he took off and the security guards went after him. Needless to say i got the f*** out of there!!!! it all happened so fast that i don't remember what was going through my mind.

Everytime I fill up my car!
Seriously, I have had my bike stolen, but never actually had breaking and entering. I also have 2 sixty-five pound dogs- don't think it will be happening soon.
Now where is some wood to knock on?
