Half of Republicans voted to bring this back up. 39 Democrats voted yes and 9 no. One each of Democrat caucused voted for and against.

Why do Republicans let this be pinned on them? Where is their spine?

I have been saying the same thing. Also.....why can't the demoncrats get it passed? Don't they have the majority in both houses? YES! They just have more media outlets willing to pass on their lies. They want the illegal vote but don't want to lose their base voters to get it. They are trying to bring the Latinos close like they did the blacks. They have been lying to them for decades and they haven't caught on yet.

Rep. Boehner did make some exciting comments on how Obama does not sign something till fairly everyone had a 5 day evaluate of all 1100 pages. in simple terms 24-48hrs became given to check this spend bill. that's kinda fishy to me, meanwhile Obama is going out to "marketing campaign" aka stress worry into the ordinary public, on "we want speedy action, in the different case!" there is alotta money being spent right here at the back of the curtain. The efforts to spend extra on classes that don't help absolutely everyone seems to be outrageous. supply the unemployed extensions? the place is the motivation to bypass out and get a job faster? supply those on Welfare extra money? i think of that calls for little attempt for absolutely everyone to answer. the yankee human beings could comprehend that it is not any longer their pastime to make certain your neighbor has one. neither is it the Governments. it is insane to furnish the politicians the skill to choose what autos to make. enable the marketspersistent the stimulus!

I truly hate to say this - but it is beginning to appear as though the majority of both sides of the isle are guilty of not paying a damned bit of attention to the people who put them in office.
Every poll and survey I've come across put the opposition to this bill from the American citizens at around 80% - and still all three branches of our elected, democratic representatives are still trying to jam it down our throats.
If there's no votor backlash on this one - we may as well start writing America's obituary now.

Because the Republicans that are in Washington. Are not Conservatives. True Conservatives, have vlaues that aren't changed with the tides. Republicans want to be re-elected. Conservatives want, what's best for the Country.

Because it's Bush's bill that he's trying to push. That and the fact that it shows what lying hypocrites the cons are. Everyone already assumed that the Dems would be soft on illegal immigration. They're not the ones promising to crack down on illegal immigration and then conveniently dispose of the issue once they're in office.

They have no spine. That is why I won't donate to the RNC--only to specific candidates.

McCain (R) is a sponsor with Kennedy (D). It is a lot like what W (R) wants. W is lobbying for its passage.

You need to ask Bush why he's pushing the issue as his own!

It's hard to fight a liberal world.

::There you go. It's Bush's fault. The strong Dem support is totally ignored. They don't deal in truth - they deal in party-line blame.
