just bought the car was told that ac works i just needed to spray with freon and it would work. i got it sprayed and it works but the its not coming out that strong. and i was told acura legends ac's are very strong and cold so i dont know what it could be. please help.

when you say its not coming out strong do you mean its not as cold as it should be? if so you might need another can of freon. take it back to the mech. that put the freon in and have them put a gauge on it. if they know what they are doing he will be able to tell if it needs another can or if it needs oil thats used to push the freon around.

If it needed freon then there was a loss of pressure in the system. If there was a leak and the previous owner had it fixed they the system needs to be vacuumed down and then freon put in or it won't work properly. If the owner didn't fix anything then there is a leak somewhere that needs to be fixed. For an A/C to work at peak efficiency there needs to be no leaks. The change from high to low pressure in the heat exchanger is what cools the air. The less of a pressure change the less cooling occurs. Have the A/C checked by a qualified mobile A/C mechanic, they can trouble shot and repair the system. Be warned A/C work is VERY expensive. Freon, R-134a, is cheap but labor cost add up very quickly.

if you had to add freon,then there is a leak in the system. good luck,will take lots of cash.

the AC pump is probably messed up some way or another, wether its the pully or the compressor or the clutch part
