no. no way he is a murderer. He doesn't deserve it. If it was like Eddie and he was clean and trying to make a better life for himself yes but no murderer should ever be respected like that. That would bring disgrace to the HOF.

It's an awkward question to answer. Based on his work in pro wrestling over the years - the passion and drive that all his contemporaries have talked about - based on Chris Benoit , the wrestler, there is no question he should be inducted. However, you have to look at the flipside - here is a guy that killed his family in a deliberate and pre-meditated way. Obviously no one who would plan out and commit such horrible crimes - against his own wife and child - should ever be honored in any regard.
It boils down to who WWE is honoring - Chris Benoit the wrestler that devoted his life to the sport he loved - or Chris Benoit the man that for whatever reason planned and enacted the murder of his own wife and child.

no. he was a hall of fame wrestler no question. When I heard he was who did it, I was stunned. But he should not be honered for any of that now. If he killed his wife in another fashion, and then himself, maybe I could see the possibility. But to bound someone up, strangle her to death. Then kill your kid with your bare hands about a day later. How scared do you think that kid was for his last 24hrs. I dought anyone knows for sure if the kid knew chris killed his mom, but the way nancy died, Im sure it was loud and terrifying for the kid for the moments leading to nancys death. I dought even his surviving children would being honered. And I was a Benoit fan, I would say he would probly be in the top 15 as performers of all time. But he should not be honered. And for all those saying the WWE and the wrestlers who knew the details ahead of time, thats crazy. The offical release came at 10 pm. Mondays raw was not a live event. All recordings were done by 9pm..

No way.
Killers deserve nothing. This man killed his wife and small child for Christ sakes. The thought of honoring him makes my skin crawl. Inducting him into the hall of fame would be a slap in the face of the victims, fans, and WWE themselves.

Too early to tell, let the investigation take its course. Would your attitude change say that during the autopsy they find multiple tumors in his pre-frontal lobe? Maybe they run the tox screen and do not find steroids in his system, but maybe a combination of prescription drugs that he was taking that had an unintended side effect.

Yes, because of all that he's accomplised in pro wrestling. Just because he took three lives, including his own that doesn't mean that people can take away all that he's accomplished.
R.I.P. Chris, Nancy and Daniel Benoit
