Calvin Johnson.
He's putting all his hopes (and his mouth) on their first round draft pick to make the difference.

i am a lions fan. and if u watched the lion's games then u would've seen that they were in alot of the games that they lost. now im not saying that they will win 10+ games but they will be alot better than last year. btw this is nothing new in detroit. last year he and roy williams were doin the same thing sayin that the lions were gonna win out. maybe he knows something that everyone else doesnt but with a weak nfc north and a fairly easy start maybe the lions could win a few early games and gain confidence. as for pissin the rest of the league off (of course it will) when those d-linemen break through the line they'll be lookin to hit kitna twice as hard. it is never good to run ur mouth except if u can back it up. if u remember about 3 or 4 years ago. the bengals comin off a terrible season were playin the then 9-0 chiefs and chad johnson guaranteed that the bengals would win and everyone laughed at him. an guess what the bengals won. so who knows with the lions u never know they have a lot of potential but who knows if it will produce.

There is a difference between confidence and contempt. He is bordering on both. The Lions lost a lot of close games that could have gone either way. If he stays healthy and they can get a bit of run support for all their WRs then maybe 10 games isn't so far off.
I am guessing that they will end up with 3 more wins than the Raiders.

I doubt everyone will play harder against the Lions now. He didn't call anyone out individually. He's trying to be a team leader and set a high goal. Boost the confidence of the team a bit. I don't think they'll win 10 games, but he's out to prove me wrong. It's better than a QB saying we're gonna lose 10 games. So I don't think it's bad, he's just trying to get the team to develop a winning attitude.

Yes it was. Every year some loud mouth makes a ridiculous guarantee - and when was the last one that came true?? The last one I can think of was Namath guaranteeing a Super Bowl win. Not very good odds for Kitna and the Lions there.

I'm going to have to say that it might be possible but the chances are slim to none ( coming from a Bears fan, and we'll probably win the division unless the Lions surprise). You do have to remember that in 9 of those loses they're were still in the game late and lost by 7 points or less. 9 LOSES BY 7 POINTS OR LESS!! I'm expecting them to go 6-10 or 7-9, or maybe even 8-8 if they can win the easy games. Plus its good to be optimistic, but not to cocky, but it happened when Drew Brees became a Saint, right?

The lions had a good offense last year. This year it will be better because we have Calvin Johnson, tatum Bell and TJ Duckett. I would be surprised if his statement isn't close to correct. I say 8-9 game and a WC appearance. Defense is a new bag of tricks but if they get stay on offense long enough defense won't be a problem.

Yes the lions are a wide reciver (johnson) cant make a diffrence if his qb (kitna) is on the ground. Theyre offensive line is pretty bad. there defesive line is pretty much rogers. they trade away their secondary in bly. Plus playing against the bears 2 times a year dosent help. And the vikings defence is gonna be better this year ( i hate to admit it) The packers are gonna suck.
GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!

It was a bad thing your right. The Lions haven't done anything in forever. And me being a huge detroit lions fan I know they won't do anything this yeah just like every year. The media here and everywhere is tearing this promise apart. And the only reason he said it was because he got cocky because he was ranked the 9th best quarterback by a SI writer.

This is what he should do. I don't agree saying 10 plus.
But, he was smart making a bold statement. It gives his team hope and something to reach for.
This let's the team know their leader will do everything he can to win. The team also knows Kitna's play now has to back up his big mouth.

he's displaying his genuine colorings. he's an Islamic Muslim that helps the faith of Islam interior the White living house, yet no longer Christian prayer. Muslim prayer is authorized, Christian prayer has been thrown out. Our united states is a minimum of seventy 8% Christian. Why did u . s . vote for an Islamic Muslim? Why did the Democrats positioned an Islamic Muslim interior the White living house? What has befell to the Democratic celebration? i prefer a Dwight D. Our finished device relies on the Holy Bible and not the Koran. u . s . is a Christian united states. u . s . has continuously been a Christian united states. And we prefer a President this is conscious the place u . s . comes from. Obama could desire to be impeached. He lied to too many human beings. the guy can't be depended on.
