This question is for people saying race has nothing to do with it.
Again, if Bush was black would he have been elected President of America? Why, why not?

bekindtoanimals....no im not saying minorities have to do twice as good. im saying race IS a factor no matter how many people deny it.
you know and i know that if there was a GWBUSH legacy white, and GWBUSH legacy black, both of equal status... the white one would win because he is white. bottomline..america is still a racist nation.

If it weren't for his family Bush would never have been elected. If he were black and not from a rich powerful family he would not be in the White House now.

The questions keep getting dumber and dumber. If Bush were black . . . who gives a sh*t? Try a question with more point and less underlying pander.
BTW to the individual who said he'd of never gotten into an Ivy League school, guess again. An individual may be black, but if he comes from a family with gazillions of the green and some decent connections, he's getting in. You guys want so badly to think this is 1957 and not 2007 so you can find ways to pander and ultimately sleep better at night.

HECK no. its hard enough for an A average black man to even become a district rep. trust me, i see it everyday here in the south. No, its not 1957 but racism is still alive! I know a lot of white people hate to hear it but its true!!

I come from an area where our superintendent of public schools has only a hs diploma.
She ran againt a black woman who had a PH.D. in education, taught in the US, England and Africa, and had way more experience.
There was a committee of 4 whites and 3 blacks who decides the vote, so you tell me why she won.

Keep asking questions to piss people off. If its true, then you cant get mad...

first and foremost he was appointed the first time not elected and the second time he was elected by given the father he had that placed those that mattered on the Supreme Court and also had help from brother Jeb keeping those pesty voters out in Florida even if he were black he would have been president to many large corporations saw the way to get what they wanted from getting a figure head in office

Black, white, green or yellow, Bush would have never been elected dogcatcher - much less President - without his family's money, power and influence.
Bush will go down in history as the worst U.S. President (to date; but Hillary might run a close second if she gets elected in '08). -RKO- 06/26/07

No, he wouldn't have. If Bush hadn't been a little rich boy who's father was president he would have never gotten in either. He would not have gotten an honorable discharge from the military either.

There are a lot of "IFs" in this one.

Bush should have never gotten elected in the first place. I know I didn't vote for 'em. He's a frickin' idiot who even has his own party batting against him now.

Boy, you really ARE racist, aren't you?! No, Bush wouldn't have become President if he were Black any more than Obama will. But Bush ISN'T Black and he IS President, so why are you worrying about it? We're a long way off from the majority of this country voting a Black in as President.

He only got elected because of his father. He wouldn't have been elected dog catcher if it wasn't for his father. I don't see what being black or white has to do with that fact. Are you saying that minorities have to do twice as good to get half as much? That may still be true. For women as well.

C average or not, this country isn't ready and has never been ready for a black president. That's something that is a long way off. I may not see a black president in my lifetime. People say they will vote for one, they will NOT!!!

If his grades were better than Kerry and Gores then they must be down right stupid and as far as his fathers money buying him the office, who did they pay because I have yet to hear from any one who can say that they got paid to vote for Bush.
