My red tailed shark died this afternoon, and I think it's because of my dwarf gourami pestering it. It had the symptoms of fin rot (not eating, laying at the bottom of the tank, getting picked on). I do not want the gourami anymore. He is way too aggressive towards my three barbs, and I do not want it to happen again. I don't know what to do with the gourami though. Any ideas?

Some fish stores will either give you in store credit for a fish or trade it for another fish of equal or lesser value. Otherwise some fish stores will take a fish off of your hands for free if that is all you are looking for.

Take him back to the pet store. They should accept him for store credit.

By the way, if the shark suffered fin rot, you might want to double check your water quality. That is often a problem that results from water not being quite right.

Many newspapers allow you to put in a free ad for free give away things...try calling and asking to give away the fish you don't want. Many pet shops won't take back fish because they don't know if they caught a disease or not.

What the hell is erroneous with you? Its a fish not a *ucking buzzing chicken. If he isn't lifeless return him to everywhere the hell to procure him as your are patently too stupid to possess something then plastic fish and you are able to in all probability determine a thank you to kill those too.

Isolate him in a different tank as soon as possible and then sell him or give him away.
